From the second Souvenirs of Travel series, this print depicts the elevated terrace of Nigatsu-do Hall at Todai-ji in Nara. Lifetime editions sell for $500-$2,000. Nara temple subjects are among Hasui's most architecturally refined compositions, and the Nigatsu-do's dramatic hillside position allowed Hasui to combine building, landscape, and sky in a powerful arrangement.
