Description
Sailing boats return to the shore at Yabase on Lake Biwa, their white sails catching the late afternoon light. The scene is rendered with atmospheric sensitivity, the distant mountains softened by haze and the water reflecting the warm tones of the setting sun. One of the most admired prints in Shinsui''s early landscape series.
